The world of Avorah, where I intend to take you, is something you crazy kids are calling a magnum opus these days. Conceptually, anyway. It started out as a campaign setting borne out of a failed attempt to play Dungeons & Dragons when I was little. It's since become something quite a bit more involved than that.
All this is to say, this story has been a long, long time coming. So I won't take up too much of your time. After this little introductory post, I'll be uploading The Company of Wandering Kings in bite-sized chunks. Something like a page at a time or so.
So who's this novel for? Well, primarily it's for me. But it's also for anyone who happens to enjoy fantasy stories. I grew up on Weis and Hickman's Dragonlance novels, Tolkien's masterworks, Goodkind's Sword of Truth, and any number of other paragons of modern fantasy. This world of Avorah, and the stories I'm going to tell you about it; well, consider it my contribution to the multi-verse.
Enjoy your stay.
Special thanks to George W. Frost, author of the online novel The Zombie Knight, for inspiration (by example) on the format.
Now, then. Shall we begin?
